well last night was annoying... had mandy kip over as going to see houses today (as iv said a few times now) and i couldnt sleep properly. waking up every few hours, and having nightmares that the house that i was going to see had been in a fire, so there was black bricks all up the back wall. the garden was overun by weeds, and i was living with two guys - one being a goth, and the other an ex dug addict turned chain smoker... wtf????
anyway, woke up really early a couldnt sleep and made our way to plymouth etc etc.... get to the houses and no78 looks a bit shabby from the front but 76 looks okay. had to find somewhere else to ark coz it was all permit crap blah blah, and the area's are regulary patrolled. luckily free two hours parking just down the road lol anywho's look around the back of the terrace of houses (as they are all victorian) and you can see the crap they've ripped out from the kitchen, but go to the front and the estate agent is there etc.
start looking round, there were 7 bedrooms (two of which on bottom floor) but ones being converted back into a living room... which should be nice. anyway! went upstairs one of the rooms has been taken by the guy going to PCAD and there was still another big room to look at. so toodle on in... and when i say big, i mean fucking huge!!!! literally its biger than the fucking mac suite at EDC, with a bay window! and the lady ((brenda)) goes "oh yes, you can also see the sea from here" and i look out the window, and you can see plymouth harbour with a docking cruise liner... how fucking cool is that man?!!! and in september they do this two day fireworks thing, and i would be able to see it all from my bedroom - yes that right 'my bedroom'. i've decided to take it
the only downside to it is as you go in, on the left hand side obviously someones tried to make an accent wall colour... only thing is the wall is a dark chocolate brown.. and extremely far to dark. as soon as you walk in, its like WHAM the room hits you from the left hand side... and there are these two storage spaces neer to the ceiling... and it being a victorian house, the ceilings are naturally quite high and even standing on a chair (which i did) i sill couldnt reach them properly... not many students put a step ladder on a list of things they need to take with them, amongst the crockery and stuff. lol but also with the whole inlet storage spaces the previous owner painted inside them brown aswell, so its a complete overcast, and shifts the mood of the room... so ive been given permission to decorate it - within reason obviously, i just have to give a colour chart to the estate agent to be approved of. most of the rooms down there look to have been decorated by the occupants, theres one room thats really really small -all with double beds - and bright orange/yellow walls, that glow ever brighter with the sun on them. lol the other rooms seem to have taken a lilac theme... im not sure what colour's would like... i was going along the lines of a deeper purple, possibly aubergine in colour, making an accent colour of something else, but then i was thinking of using that cocoa paint i used in sue's work... im stuck. i need suggestions people, but nothing too tacky, i want something calm, yet warm, stylish and relaxing.... hmm its difficult. but thinking on that augergine colour its starting to grow on me.
...help?
